The Long and the Short of It.
It has been over a year since the Weekly WOW has been a regular feature on this blog. Unfortunately, for the most part, it’s been the only feature.
As much as I enjoy writing about my travel WOWs, I have strayed from the original purpose of writing about them in the first place. Back in the summer of 2014, while Simon, Otto and I were strolling down a street in Madrid, the lightbulb went on. I envisioned a short – under 500 words – weekly post that would be focused on a single person, attraction, restaurant, individual or event. This would also commit me to posting something at least once a week.
Well, I got the second part right, but it’s obvious that brevity isn’t my strongest attribute. Some of my posts have ventured into the 1,000 plus zone. Is it any wonder I rarely have time to write anything else?
So here is how I plan to fix this. First, I will keep the Weekly WOWs in the 500 or less range. Next, I will make every effort to write more long posts that will offer broader views. In other words, since less is more, less verbiage in the Weekly WOWs will generate a wider variety of posts.
So, gentle readers, please give me a few weeks to adjust to my new blogging pattern, then let me have it. Good or bad, I want to know how you like the change. And if there is more or less of anything in particular you would like to see, Please let me know about it. This blog is all about you, and what makes you want to read this blog.
Go for it Penny. Save those longer ones for print and $$$
Thanks, Dawn. I like the way you think.;-) Please continue to share your input. It does mean a lot.
